Get a Bit Moody

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Moody black walls are the perfect backdrop when it comes to creating a romantic sleep space. If you’re hesitant about introducing such a dark color, note that you can still implement brighter hues by way of a rug, as demonstrated in blogger Miranda Schroder’s space. Accents like candles and a blanket set the scene for cozy nights in.

Don’t Skimp on Lighting

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Lighting is an excellent way to add some drama and intrigue to your bedroom. Here, in this space by Kate Marker Interiors, a beautiful chandelier makes a stunning statement and instantly adds a romantic touch. Say goodbye to your apartment’s uninspiring ceiling fan and opt for a swoony piece like this one!

Pick a Dreamy Headboard

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Think beyond the basics when it comes to a headboard and go for a design that’s flirty and fun. In this space, designer Claire Staszak selected a wicker number that adds a boho touch. Whether you go the vintage route or opt for something more modern, you’ll enjoy having a bedroom that doesn’t look exactly like everyone else’s.

Think Tropical

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

What’s more romantic than a bedroom that reminds you of your favorite vacation spot? Blogger Dabito added tropical touches to his bedroom in the form of palm leaf wallpaper and a cane bed frame. There’s no reason your bedroom has to blend perfectly with every other room of the house if you find a print that makes you happy.

Go Four Poster

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

There’s something so darn romantic about a classic four-poster bed that gives off luxury hotel vibes. If you’re worried about things looking too formal, don’t be. Blogger Shaheen Khan softened up her space by adding a cozy boucle bench and laid-back-looking striped bedding, which suggests that lounging is most definitely still encouraged.

Go Natural

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

What’s more dreamy than a bedroom with a cloud-themed mural? Blogger Jenna LeBlanc’s bedroom brings the outdoors in by way of a hanging bed wrapped in faux vines. The setup is perfect for those who love lazy hammock days and crave a garden-like feel.

Stay Cool

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Blogger Jennifer Lake’s bedroom is a chinoiserie lover’s dream, filled with dainty details and soothing colors (cool blues are perfect for a sleep space!). Feminine details pair nicely with more neutral grays, while simple touches—like flowers on both nightstands—make the space look extra welcoming and peaceful.

Add Some Accents

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Small upgrades—like the addition of a throw rug or a colorful fabric bench—can make a bedroom look more romantic in no time. Blogger Carla Hayden opted for soft pinks and oranges, which most certainly add a sweet touch.

Act Neutral

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

White textiles add a sophisticated, adult-like feel to any bedroom. Blogger Kat Jamieson kept her space from feeling stark by adding texture in the form of a sheepskin rug and introducing romantic elements like roses and a tray of perfumes—very Parisian if you ask us!

Fluff It Up

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Blogger Jenica Parcell also designed a bedroom rooted in neutrals but opted for frillier touches like furry stools and fluffy pink pillows. Comfort is key when it comes to a romantic bedroom, so don’t be afraid to indulge in these types of pieces, which will make you feel extra at ease in your space.

Decorate to the Max

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

Blogger Lacey Kennedy designed an ultra-glam bedroom filled with plush pillows, floral details, and shabby chic accents. Her space is proof that you can implement a romantic theme without having to cover your walls in a bright paint color or go overboard with upgrades—it’s all in the decor.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

” data-caption=”” data-expand=”300″ data-tracking-container=”true” />

There’s something about mirrored furniture that’s just extra romantic and glam, and blogger Cheryl Luckett made sure to incorporate such pieces into a bedroom that she designed. Flirty leopard print and a velvet headboard making for perfect additions.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Last update: 10 February, 2021

If you want to create a romantic bedroom, this guide is perfect for you.

You don’t need to have a partner to enjoy an intimate space. You’ll love having a romantic atmosphere – soft colors, warm textiles, floral patterns, and something with french vibes are key to create a romantic bedroom.

If you’re sighing while reading this, take a seat, make yourself comfortable, and read this guide carefully to create the bedroom of your dreams.

Explore your romantic side

People tend to confuse the term romantic with being corny, but this isn’t what it really means. Romanticism involves kind and tender details that bring beauty to your life.

Searching for evocative lines, gorgeous fabrics, and delicate flowers are the key to this decor style.

Wood, pastel tones, an ironwork canopy bed, or an amazing chandelier are the elements that a romantic bedroom should have. The combination of delicious colors, intimate lighting, and soft textures are essential for a romantic style.

If you want to know how to create a romantic bedroom, you’ll be seduced by these ideas.

A canopy bed – perfect to create a romantic bedroom

If you have enough space, a canopy bed is perfect to get that romantic vibe. You can have an ironwork or wooden structure and let long drapes hang off it.

If you have a small bedroom, don’t worry – there’s a solution for small spaces. Get a mosquito net, like this from IKEA, and hang it from the ceiling. To create a feminine and beautiful look, you can sew details on it, like little jewels, butterflies, or leaves. You can also add a lighted garland to complete the look.

A little bit of France

The French style gives a romantic vibe to the different spaces of your house. All you need to do is to add some details to create this kind of aesthetic.

Chandeliers are a classic. Their winding shapes, clinking glass, and the elegance of the Parisian aristocracy of the XVIII century make them the perfect item to get that romantic vibe. It’ll look great if you make it the main attraction of your bedroom. But if you add a chandelier, you shouldn’t add another element, like a canopy bed, since it would be too much.

Another must of this decor style are big mirrors with golden frames. Add one to your bedroom and you’ll see how great it looks. If you’re into Feng Shui, keep an eye on how to place it.

Favorite colors for a romantic bedroom

Use a neutral color as a base to add soft colors. The perfect colors for this style are pink, mauve, or green. You can paint the walls and use bedding as complements. Check out this Nordic pillowcase from Zara Home.

If you want to give a special touch to your bedroom, adding some candles, plants, or flowers is a good choice. All these items are very romantic, don’t you think?

Patterns you’ll love

Floral patterns are the favorites for romantic bedrooms, but you need to know how to choose them. Soft or natural colors are the best option and it’s even better if they’re small patterns, like Liberty prints.

Another characteristic pattern is the Toile de Jouy, have you heard about this? It was born in France in 1970, and you use only one color (blue, red, or sepia) on a white base. This kind of pattern reproduced pastoral and mythological scenes, events of that time, or the flora and fauna.

Nowadays, monochromatic prevails, but there’s a wide variety of colors as well as topics. You can find a lot of designs on Gaulan.

Do you see how easy it is to create a romantic bedroom? All you need to do is to add some candles, flowers, blankets, and fill your room with pleasant scents.

Now you’re ready to start enjoying your bedroom, feel comfortable, and relax in the romantic space you’ve created. Are there any elements you would like to add?

Our bedrooms are the epicentre of our romantic relationships. Certain aspects can make or break the romantic mood within a room. But what is the psychology behind romance and why do we crave romantic love?

The first stage of falling in love is lust. The kind of attraction that makes our legs go weak, our hearts pound and suppresses our appetites. Chemical substances like testosterone, serotonin and dopamine flood our brains, making us energised and excited. Dopamine especially affects the senses – making us flush a little more from arousal as well as increasing sexual desire and heightening our mood. Just thinking about that special person makes us feel happier. It’s pleasurable and in its own way addictive –no wonder we crave those feelings.

The release of serotonin gives us a rose-tinted view of our lover and we often believe that we have a closer or more special connection than any other couple. It’s this ‘love-blindness’ that makes us want to stay together and enter the next stage of love, attachment.

During the attachment phase, we release oxytocin, a powerful chemical known as the ‘cuddle hormone’. Oxytocin deepens the feelings of attachment and if mutual, leads to that heady state that we all crave –falling in love.

How to create a romantic bedroom

What makes a romantic bedroom?

1. Let’s start with your bed.

It needs to look as inviting as possible. Big plumped up pillows and crisp, freshly laundered sheets all beautifully made up, are key to making your bed look appealing. Try bold colours like a black headboard to add a sense of drama. Think 5-star hotel!

2. It’s also important to clear away any clutter.

You want to make your bed the main feature and clutter will simply distract. If you’re inclined to use your bedroom as a ‘floordrobe’, now is the time for a serious tidy up.

3.Creating romantic lighting in your bedroom can make all the difference.

Make sure that your overhead light is switched off –it can be unflattering as well as just too bright. Either use soft glow bedside lamps or groups of tea lights in pretty safe holders to create the mood. If they are lightly scented, so much the better. White is a much more romantic colour than red for lighting, which has been shown to cause stress rather than desire.

4. Romance and desire are strongly linked to your sense of smell.

As well as scented tea lights, you could also use a pillow mist, a fragrance plug-in or just a spritz of your usual after-shave or perfume on the pillows and around your bed. Don’t go overboard on too many different smells, just one or two, especially if familiar, will trigger desire.

5. Try sprinkling your bed with a few rose petals.

They don’t have to be the real deal –you can buy artificial petals or use petal shaped confetti. If your bedroom is upstairs, scatter a few of the petals up the stairs and across the landing towards your bedroom. It will indicate both romance and intent.

6. Keep the mood and ambience focused on intimacy and passion.

Put ironing boards, clothes airers and any other chore-based equipment out of sight. Also tidy children’s toys away.

You may not feel that you need to play music, but if there is a special song that you share or music that carries happy memories for you both, then play it fairly softly. For obvious reasons, this works better with gentle, mellow music rather than heavy rock!

7. Be prepared

A lot of the art of creating a romantic and sexy bedroom is in preparation. Think about covering up or moving your TV out of the bedroom, or putting a faux fur or velvet throw over the bed. Having a bottle of champagne sitting invitingly in an ice bucket, perhaps with some ripe strawberries or cherries in a bowl, will also enhance the sensual mood.

Think of using all your senses to create a romantic mood in your bedroom. While it’s easy to trigger desire with sensuous aromas, music and lighting, don’t forget touch is also a big factor in making your Valentine’s night even more special. Wear something soft and sensual like silk or satin and maybe keep a feather or a silk scarf to hand for teasing your partner and getting them in the mood for some passion-filled intimacy.

Adding a little romance to your bedroom’s decor can make the space feel more inviting and intimate. When you’re on a budget, though, it may seem impossible to pull off that kind of romantic makeover. With limited funds available, the key is focusing on small touches that have a big impact on the overall feel of the room. Even in limited doses, the right colors and textures can transform your bedroom into the ideal romantic haven — without breaking the bank either.

Change the Color

No matter what type of look you’re going for, paint is one of the most budget-friendly ways to update a bedroom. For a romantic look, the key is to choose a warm shade that creates an intimate vibe for the room. For a small bedroom, choose a light tone like gold, peach or rose. If you have a large space to decorate, you can opt for a deeper tone for the walls.

Burnt orange, brick and chocolate are all attractive options if you want to add a little romance to your bedroom. In fact, Real Homes advises going with a shade of black.

Get the Sheets

If you’re on a budget, you may not be able to replace your bed with a dramatic option like a canopy or four-poster style. But you can still add plenty of romance to the space by replacing the linens. Choose an inexpensive option for the bedspread that matches the wall color and other decor in the room, advises House Beautiful.

You might choose a patterned design that adds some visual interest to the space – a bold, modern floral print can add a sexy, stylish look to the room. When it comes to the sheets, splurge. Cover the bed with soft Egyptian cotton for a basic option. If you want a little more romance, opt for silk or satin sheets to really make the bed feel special.

Set the Mood

To create a romantic vibe for your bedroom, it’s all about setting the right mood. Lighting is key, but that doesn’t mean you have to purchase a chandelier with a dimmer switch to get the right look. You can’t get more romantic than candlelight, and since candles are inexpensive, they’re an ideal way to add some romance to your bedroom when you’re on a budget.

Place pillar candles on your bedside tables, the top of your dresser and any free shelves so you can light them whenever you want to soften your lighting. Opt for scented candles to engage more of your senses – go with scents like vanilla, jasmine or sandalwood for just the right mood.

Personalize Your Artwork

Instead of buying expensive artwork for your bedroom, create a romantic look by personalizing your wall hangings. Create a wall collage with your wedding photos or other shots of you and your significant other. For an elegant, artsy look, print them in black and white or sepia tone to give the display a more romantic look.

You can also incorporate other items that have significance to you – frame the sheet music from your wedding song or place ticket stubs from your first date or other mementos in a shadow box.

How to create a romantic bedroom

In your hectic life, having a romantic retreat may be crucial to keeping a relationship on track. The dishes may be piled in the kitchen, the dog may need a bath, but your romantic escape can be just on the other side of your bedroom door.

Everyone’s idea of a romantic space is different, but the most common goal is creating a gorgeous bedroom that feels like a retreat. Creating a romantic bedroom doesn’t require a lot of money or time. You can create a special space with as little or as much effort as you’re comfortable with. A totally over-the-top romantic bedroom will require more work, but these basic bedroom color decorating tips are all you’ll need to get started.

Find Color Inspiration for Your Romantic Bedroom

The internet is the first place that most of us start our search for decorating inspiration. Visit the top interior design sites and blogs for ideas and color trends for your bedroom. There are tons of bedroom decorating inspiration on decorating sites, but you’ll also find ideas by looking at other types of rooms. Your perfect color palette might be found in a living room or dining room, so don’t be shy about checking out everything.

Decorating shows on HGTV and DIY Network can not only give you inspiration but also offer tips on simple decorating projects for your bedroom. If you spot a particular product that you love on a decorating show, you can often find the name of the company by looking for promotional credits or the list of sponsors and product placements on the show.

If your idea of a romantic bedroom is a luxurious hotel suite, then you can find inspiration by viewing accommodations online. Look at websites for the top hotels in big cities if you love a contemporary hotel style, or search for bed & breakfast inns for intimate and casual bedroom inspiration. Most high-end hotels and inns are designed to be romantic and comfortable, so borrowing their look is an easy bedroom decorating hack.

Choose the Right Paint Color

Whether you use jewel tone colors, soft pastels, or neutral colors, the secret to decorating a romantic bedroom is choosing a harmonious color palette. Creating a monochromatic color scheme is one way to achieve a soothing space. Using light and dark shades of the same color creates interest but keeps the room from looking too cluttered or busy.

Romantic paint colors don’t have to be soft and sweet, they can be rich jewel tones like burgundy and purple, or dramatic colors like charcoal gray and dark brown. If you love the idea of dark paint color in your romantic bedroom, consider adding an accent wall instead of painting the entire room in that color. A stunning accent wall color is the perfect backdrop for a chandelier or hanging pendants over your nightstand.

If you love pastel paint colors, try a color scheme that combines pastels with neutral paint colors. The newest pastel paint colors are subtle to the point of looking neutral. These new soft colors are so pretty in a romantic bedroom retreat. A pastel/neutral color palette is perfect for decorating in a rustic and romantic style.

Choosing the Right Bedding Can Make Decorating Easy

Your bedding will most likely be the most colorful accent in your bedroom. No matter how simple your bedroom color scheme is, you can totally personalize your space by choosing the right bedding. A duvet and throw pillows are the best way to add more color without making a major change in your bedroom. If you are looking for a quick way to rev up the romance at home, bedding can completely change the look and mood of your bedroom.

Steal This Secret From Designers: Style Your Nightstands

Those romantic bedrooms that are so swoon-worthy all share a secret tip that is totally doable. The top designers and bloggers “style” their nightstands. Styling simply means that you choose accent decor for your nightstands that will look beautiful together. Simple! Taking the time to think about what goes next to your bed, and what makes you happy when you see it, is the simplest way to style your nightstand. You’ll want to have essential items nearby like a small dish for jewelry or a pretty water carafe, so incorporate your must-haves with stylish accents for a romantic look.

Choosing the Right Lighting Is Essential

Nothing says romance better than soft lighting in the bedroom. Add a chandelier if you love the style, but a semi-flush mount light fixture on the ceiling can be just as glamorous. This might mean that your ceiling light fixture should be set up with a dimmer so that you can customize the amount of light you need. Be sure to consider all the uses of your bedroom so that you have adequate light available for all activities. Learn the basics of lighting your home to enhance the mood of your bedroom.

Lighting on or above your nightstand is important. If your nightstands aren’t big enough to support table lamps comfortably then swing arm lamps like the hotels use are a stylish option. The flexibility of a swing arm lamp is perfect for reading in bed, too. Another super chic bedroom lighting idea is using small pendants or chandeliers over your nightstand. This frees up space next to your bed and has a very hip look. Vintage style hanging light fixtures are perfect for bedside lighting.

Pulling It All Together

Your romantic bedroom isn’t complete without accent decor and accessories. Dressing your windows with soft drapes in velvet or linen give your bedroom a romantic look and can hide boring blinds and unflattering views outside. For a soothing color palette, choose drapes to match your wall color. The texture of your drapes and bedding will add enough visual interest so that you won’t need to add additional colors.

Choose artwork for your bedroom carefully. You’ll want to use accent colors from your palette when you choose artwork for your bedroom, but do select art that is personally meaningful and appealing for this very personal space.

You can pull your bedroom makeover together by adding pops of color with candles, throws, and other pretty accessories that will enhance the romantic mood. Don’t forget an adjacent bathroom if you’re decorating a master bath. You can make your romantic bedroom and bathroom look like an expensive hotel suite by using luxurious colors and finishes that flow between the rooms. Don’t forget to include fluffy towels and robes in colors from your palette for a romantic and luxurious touch.

Whether you live with your spouse, your children or you welcome a procession of guests throughout the week, your home is shared with lots of other people. As a result, you’ll no doubt agree that bedroom is the only room in your home that’s entirely ‘yours’. So, doesn’t it make sense to make it a romantic, relaxing area for you to enjoy spending time in? Here’s how to create a romantic bedroom (without a rose petal, love heart or cuddly toy in sight…).

Clear the clutter

Regardless of your taste and interior design preferences, dirt and clutter is the number one decorating disaster bedroom. So, boost your chances of making a romantic space by cleaning it all away. Invest in whatever storage you can (there are lots of clever storage hacks you can use, even in small bedrooms), stashing things out of sight so your bedroom doesn’t become untidy.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Consider repainting

A new colour scheme goes a long way towards making a romantic bedroom, and you don’t necessarily have to choose the colours we often associate with love and romance, such as red. In fact, many people believe that red is too stimulating to use in a bedroom, so opt for blush tones, warm whites, almonds or a smoky topaz instead.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Ensure your bed is comfortable

Given that your bed is the largest piece of furniture in your bedroom, and will also get the most amount of use, it’s important you really love it. So, for a truly romantic bedroom, treat yourself to a stylish bed base and headboard, and invest in a comfortable mattress too. You can buy these from www.divancentre.co.uk before dressing your bed with ultra-soft pillows, luxurious bed linen and stylish throws. Consider silk or satin for a very glamorous romantic feel, or opt for cotton with floral prints for a traditional romantic look.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Hang luxurious curtains

Next, turn your attention to the window dressing. A black out blind is an absolute must-have if you want to get a good night’s sleep, but hanging curtains will add extra layers of depth and interest (as well as block out any remaining shards of light). To make your bedroom feel romantic, hang a curtain pole higher and wider than it needs to be, and to buy curtains that are longer than you actually need. That way, the curtains will draw your eye up to the ceiling to create an illusion of grandeur and height before puddle on the floor a little, subtly giving the impression of decadence and luxury.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Pay attention to lighting

Lighting is perhaps the most important aspect of a romantic bedroom, so be sure not to overlook it! As well as adding a statement overhead light (such as a chandelier), ensure you have side lights for general lighting that isn’t too harsh. Task lighting (such as a source of light around a dresser) or a bedside lamp is a great idea, as is accent lighting in recesses and shelving, but don’t forget to add little pools of soft light too. Flickering candles and fairy lights add to the air of romance and create a particularly relaxing ambience.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Personalise your space

There’s nothing more romantic than a framed photograph of you and your other half, so pick your favourite and display it on your bedside table or somewhere else you’ll see it often. Photos, sentimental gifts and memorabilia of your relationship will certainly increase the sense of romance.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Pay attention to scent

Finally, our memories, experiences and even moods are strongly linked to scents, so make sure your bedroom smells amazing. You could use a diffuser, incense or scented oils to make your bedroom smell fresh and inviting. It’s fun to choose a scented candle that smells of a shared experience – such as a recent holiday – evoking happy memories and heighten the sense of romance in your bedroom.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Of course, all these decorating tips play a huge role in creating a romantic bedroom, but so does your attitude towards your space. Try to keep your bedroom off-limits to wandering guests, and operate a ‘no chores, no work’ rule in your bedroom (so no pairing socks in there!). That way, your room will feel like a romantic, relaxing place to be.

Want your bedroom to have a more romantic feeling? Read this! We’ll show you how to design a romantic bedroom you’ll fall in love with.

Ah, l’amour! Who doesn’t love to fall in love?

But does your bedroom conjure up these feelings for you? Would you like to see your room look more inviting for both you and your partner?

Fall in love with your bedroom again with these romantic decorating tips.

Think Soft

When trying to create romance, you want to soften the room in any way you can. This allows for a relaxed atmosphere to help release any muscle tension in your body.

When a person is tense, they can’t fully be in the moment, which is needed for someone to enjoy romance.

So how can you soften a room?

Well, you can soften a room by using a soft color palette. Think along the lines of creams and blushes, maybe some lilac or grey-blue.

When choosing colors, take a look at the color chips at your local paint store. The light ones at the very top are the ones you want to go for.

You also need to decorate with soft materials. The curtains, bedspread, and carpet should be soft to the touch.

A down-filled bedspread with big, puffy pillows will make anyone want to sink into that bed. And don’t forget about the sheets; you can really amp up the romance with some silk or satin sheets.

Add some sheer or lace drapes and a faux-fur rug, and you’ll certainly please your sense of touch.

The last step to soften your bedroom is with lighting. If you can, add a dimmer switch to your lights. If not, change your bulbs to something with fewer watts.

If you have floor or desk lamps, make sure they have shades that make the light glow (but not too brightly).

Highlight the Bed

The bed should always be the centerpiece of your bedroom. Make sure that it’s eye-catching and inviting.

You can highlight the bed with lighting. An ornate fixture or dazzling chandelier above the bed will turn it into a centerpiece. You can also point spotlights toward the bed to direct all the attention toward it.

A luxurious headboard will add to the room’s romantic vibe. A headboard upholstered in velvet or silk will definitely do the trick. You can also opt for an ornate iron headboard.

Of course, the epitome of a romantic bed is the four-poster bed with a canopy flowing from the top. This type of bed usually needs a lot of room, but if you have it, why not flaunt it?

Elegance Abounds

A romantic bedroom should emanate elegance. From the flooring material to the wallpaper pattern, each aspect of the room should let visitors know they’ve entered a special place.

Look for ways to add baroque patterns, antique pieces, and gold finishes to your decor.

You can find some great pieces at thrift stores and spray paint them gold for a special touch. Your local craft store should have some ceramic wall sconces that will look elegant on your wall.

It’s okay to DIY glamour. In fact, it will only add to the unique quality of your romantic bedroom. Check out this tutorial on how to make mercury glass, which would be a great addition to your space.

Inspire the Mood With Wall Art

The walls in a romantic bedroom shouldn’t be cluttered, but a few pieces of wall art can set the mood.

These can either be smokey pieces that leave much to the imagination, or they can depict voluptuous shapes that make a more direct point.

Black and white photos are mysterious and ghostly, giving the room a more sublime atmosphere.

Another good choice of romantic wall art is antique framed mirrors. They not only add a level of majestic style to the room, but they can make it feel bigger and roomier.

However you choose to decorate, make sure the colors in your art don’t clash with the color palette of the room.

Finishing Touches

Last but not least, you should add some finishing touches to complete the romantic theme in your bedroom.

Some fresh flowers in glass vases on your nightstands can bring a sensual aroma to the room.

Roses might be the flowers that come to mind first, and they do smell fantastic, but if you want to try something new, there are plenty of other sweet-smelling flowers to choose from.

Jasmine, freesia, sweet peas, and gardenia are just a few examples of flowers that emit a beautiful aroma.

Of course, don’t forget the twinkling glow of candlelight. Candles can also help to make the air smell divine if you buy the scented kind.

If you don’t want the fire hazard of real candles, that’s understandable. You can put some string lights up around the room to bring in that twinkling effect.

Find a soft fur throw and extra-plush pillows to either drape on the lounger or put on your bed.

Conclusion

Romantic decor isn’t all ruffles and pink chiffon.

From the feel of a plush comforter to the smell of the sweet, fresh-cut flowers, a romantic bedroom indulges your senses and beckons you to stay.

Once you’ve created a romantic bedroom that you are happy with, it’s time to invite the one you love to enjoy it as well.

It’s possible to make your room just like a five star hotel room.

So, guys if you are planning to invite your partner at your place then keep these things in your mind to make your bedroom beautiful. Because it will show a different side of personality too.

Romantic rooms for romantic night

Here, are some of the advantages of having romantic night at home:

Who says a romantic night in home is boring? You can save more and do more when you are in the comfort of your own home!

1. Privacy : One of the important rule of intimate moments that it require the utmost privacy. Beautiful public spaces cannot provide that privacy. Although hotels and resorts are ideal for privacy as well, you can never anticipate random occurrences like forgetting to put up the “Do Not Disturb”? sign or even worse.

2 Under-budget. It’s better to give your bedrooms a makeover instead of hanging out with your partner to a resort or expensive hotel places. This is because generally they are too expensive. Some of the best hotels for romantic get-togethers are usually expensive. Hotel rooms are not budget friendly. Your home is not only cozy and modifiable, but it is absolutely free.

3.Artistic freedom. This is most amazing point why you should plan a romantic night at your home. Generally hotels, resorts and rented homes are already furnished and set up when you arrive. But you can decorate your home for an evening with your loved one, you can arrange the furniture any way you like, set up mood lighting.

4. Dinner for two. Before going to bedroom it’s really important to make your partner comfortable. Cook a delicious dinner for your loved one and don’t forget to tune it with a bottle of wine. It will be a perfect candle light dinner.

5. No check-out time. If you select your home for the romantic night then there is no check out time. Anyone will want to spend as much time as they can with their loved one. If you spend a romantic evening at home, it would be nice not to have to wake up early or rush out of the room to avoid getting charged an extra night.

6 Music. The less expensive hotels or those offer you services on cheaper rates do not have sound systems for their clients. Some even charge extra for it. No romantic night is complete is without some beautiful songs. You can definitely plan it at your home.

7 The morning after. If the night goes off without a problem, you can rest assured knowing that you can cook your date breakfast, offer them toiletries that are better than a hotel’s and even spend the whole day together without leaving the house. No rush- rush at all.

This is how to give your room a romantic makeover

Make your bedroom romantic. Create a perfect atmosphere so that you can express your feelings accurately. Here is how :

1 Proper lighting facility :There are different ways to spice up your bedroom, but the most important part of it is choosing the right type of light. Ever heard about ‘romantic lights’? You can use candles, but be sure to keep them away from flammable objects like the carpet, drapes, sheets and wooden materials.

2. Music :Choosing the right type of music is essential. People have different tastes in music, but some genres are effectively romantic for everyone. Put on some smooth jazz, R&B or deep house music. Smooth and soft songs often works well.

3 Scents. Choosing a romantic scent for your room is optional, but keeping it smelling clean is a must. Put away your laundry and remove any food in the bedroom. Use room perfumes.

4 Food. Do not set a three-course meal on your night stand. Just place a bowl filled with chocolates and strawberries for easy access. You can also opt for some whipped cream or honey for that added sweetness fix to your bedroom play.

5 Cleanliness. Very important keep your room clean as much as you can. Another mood-killer is a messy bedroom. You can not leave your laundry on the floor or your papers on the night stand. Do not leave open jars of beauty products or wet towels lying around. Not only is it a reflection of your character, but it is a very annoying distraction as well.

As we search for peace and serenity in our bedroom designs, far too often we neglect the romantic aspect. Now of course you want your bedroom to be relaxing, but you also want to select a design that encourages intimacy as well. Lets look at the important factors of romantic bedroom design.

There are two directions you can take when designing for romance. One is using passionate colors. This would entail selecting various red paints, nothing to bright, more of a dark shade. Romantic pictures would adorn the walls. Think of warmth with this design.

You could also choose to select a theme that you and your partner feel is romantic. Do you love spending time together at the beach? Always dream of a get away cottage by the ocean? Well, there you go. Inspiration for your romantic design! By recreating this scenario in your bedroom, you can elicit passion!

Selecting Furniture For Your Design

Depending on the room and budget you have available for your design, there are accent pieces you should consider for your new look. This really comes down to personal preference though. What are you passionate about? If antique furniture brings on those feelings, then by all means decorate with it. Perhaps you would prefer an exotic look. Or something that reminds you of the islands. The possibilities are endless!

And lets not forget about lighting. There are many lighting options available. However, there are two rules to follow. Stay away from anything that detracts from the beauty of your room. And make sure that all your lighting has a dimming option. Low lighting can go a long way to setting a romantic mood.

As you can see, you have a lot of leeway when creating your romantic bedroom design. By taking the things you are your partner find most intimate between you, you can create a room that will always remind you of the passion that keeps you together!

Men are from Mars; women are from Venus.

We’ve all heard the phrase, and we’ve probably all felt that way at some point. But when it comes to interior design, there’s one room in every home where the planets are meant to align, the Master Bedroom.

Designing a romantic master bedroom that appeals to both individuals in a couple presents a unique challenge and opportunity. When done thoughtfully, it can bring two worlds together and create a custom-made sanctuary, whether that be a calming space apart from the busy pace of everyday life or a space that delights them both and frees them from worry. The goal is always to create a haven where the couple can delight in the love they have for each other.

Neutral ground

One of the first things to consider in designing a room is the color scheme. The use of rosy pinks and bold purples may appeal to her, but however lovely the space is, it would most likely not feel inviting to him. Likewise, deep forest greens or navy blues may make him feel right at home, but leave her feeling like she’s visiting a bachelor pad, even if it is a stylish one.

When it comes to romantic bedrooms, neutral is the way to go. Not only is a neutral palette universally soothing, it is also common ground for him and her.

There are many ways to use complementary neutral tones to create a warm space that’s as pleasing to the eye as it is calming to the mind. Textures can also be introduced to add visual and even tactile interest. In one of New York’s most luxurious hotels, the Chatwal , suede walls the color of honey provide the perfect backdrop for warm, subtle lighting and provide balance for the elegant curves and lines of the Art Deco inspired rooms.

The Gritti Palace , in Venice, Italy, features luxurious rooms with exquisite details and fantastic waterfront views. The warm wood tones beautifully contrast with the patterned fabrics.

With a décor of Sultan elegance and breathtaking views of the Bospherus, the Çırağan Palace, in Istanbul, Turkey uses neutral tones perfectly in a warm, enriching style.

Stella’s Neutrals

Perfectly placed shades of cream and beige complement the elegant neutrals in this Master Bedroom done by Stella Ludwig Interiors. Here, the textures of a fur throw, tufted headboard, and brocade bedspread are illuminated by the warm glow of an antique Venetian chandelier, giving this room its feeling of timeless luxury.

Harmony is created between old and new, with the combination of antique and modern chandeliers. Striped globe hanging pendants were chosen instead of traditional table lamps in this room design. Having different sources of light throughout a room gives the flexibility to create any mood you desire. Tables that speak to each other through their curvy forms and color rather than being identical give voice and interest to this romantic master bedroom.

Vive la difference

While a neutral palette provides a soothing common ground for a couple, it’s only half of the equation: the key to a perfectly designed romantic bedroom is balancing the common ground with elements that give him and her a sense of their own space. Just as a couple is the union of two individuals, their private oasis should be a room that celebrates their unity while honoring their individuality.

There’s a little alcove just for him, and one for her, in this design by Stella Ludwig Interiors. Each person has his or her own chair, and details that personalize the space. This elegant jewelry tree serves a functional purpose while adding a sculptural element to her special place in the room. Looking to bring a little more Diva into Her side of the space? Here’s some great guidance from Stella on bringing more personality into your bedroom.

Tying it all together

The Chatwal Hotel does it with vintage Louis Vuitton wooden trunks and leather-wrapped closet doors, inspired by antique Louis Vuitton traveling trunks. Inside, exquisite wood hosts a secret bar and a safety box for convenience and comfort.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Stella Ludwig Interiors hand selected a one of a kind handcrafted wooden French chest by Grange to provide character to the room. Stella created function by taking advantage of every corner and infusing equal amounts of beauty and “workability”. Glass shelves are perfectly placed in the room, holding her favorite bags, shoes, and anything else she might want to keep at her fingertips when getting ready.

Quality is the thread that ties the room together: quality pieces chosen with a discerning eye, placed in a way that serve the function of the room and the personalities of the couple who will live, love and dream there.

How to create a romantic bedroom

How to create a romantic bedroom

One of the most common requests for bedroom décor is for it to be romantic. It’s wonderful to have a sense of luxury in the bedroom where you can relax, unwind, and feel at peace with yourself. It should be your own personal retreat from the world.

Making a bedroom look and feel romantic is as easy as incorporating a few key elements into the décor. Whether you’re starting from scratch or you want to make your current space feel more romantic, these romantic bedroom decorating tips will help you create a space you adore.

Romantic Bedroom Decorating Tips

Lighting

Lighting is one of the most powerful elements in controlling how a bedroom feels, especially if you want a romantic vibe. Low lighting is the best for this vibe, both in intensity and placement. Table lamps and floor lamps cast a glow that is lower and more relaxing, while light that hangs over you, like a chandelier, casts harsher shadows. If you do have a chandelier in the bedroom, put a dimmer on it so you can soften the lighting when you want to. Candles, of course, are the most romantic lighting of all, so place those around for a beautiful, natural glow.

Flowers

Beautiful flowers are inherently romantic. When you place them around your space, it literally fills it with life. Certain flowers are particularly romantic, like roses, but there are a variety of beautiful flowers that can soften your bedroom and make it more appealing. You can opt for fresh ones to get a romantic scent flowing through the room, too, or go with faux flowers to get the same aesthetic without the maintenance.

Curtains

Curtains are a must for a romantic bedroom. They finish off the room and soften the windows in a way that makes it feel very comfortable and luxurious. To make it really romantic, choose curtains in a rich, heavy fabric. Even if you are decorating with light colors, drapes in an upscale fabric will add to the luxury and romance of the space.

Textiles

Incorporate other luxurious textiles into your bedroom, like a fluffy comforter, lots of accent pillows, and a throw over the base of the bed. The more soft textures there are around you, the more romantic and comfortable it will feel.

Music

Music is an element that can transform any space by an action as easy as pressing a button. Whether you want to feel romantic, relaxed, or energized, music can help you get into the mood. Incorporate a source of music into your bedroom decor, such as a stereo or iPod dock, so you can play music whenever you’d like.

Luxe linens and ambient lighting turn your sleep space into a romantic retreat.

We’ve had great success adding candle sconces in bedroom locations where there isn’t hard wiring for wall sconces. For example, on either side of a dresser mirror. Candlelight is soft and romantic and having it flicker from the walls (versus a tabletop) brings in an old world element.”

A Step by Step Guide to Creating a Romantic Bedroom

Why is it that everyone wants a Romantic Bedroom Shouldn’t the romance start somewhere else in the home?

The living room, with music for the mood, soft rugs and cushions, the dining room with the appreciation of a fine candlelit meal… I think romance is a continuous journey that usually ends up in the bedroom and by that time it doesn’t matter what the room looks like. But as you all seem to be searching our website to create romantic bedrooms we’d better make the effort to give you some help.

Where to Start Creating Your Romantic Bedroom

Review what you already have in your room. Make a list.

Think about what your aim is. I.e. do you spend a lot of time in the room – is it to be functional, such as to house your PC or can it be a place of rest as it was initially intended before the dreaded TV and PC entered our lives and changed our bedrooms to become an extension of the living room.

How to create a romantic bedroom

Some like animal prints to romance.

Is it to be a place of indulgence, solely for the purpose of R+R+R (Reading, Relaxation and Rest), a quiet haven from the demands of family life? Or are you trying to spice up your relationship by setting the mood every time you go to bed.

Do you have a budget?

Are you intending on a fresh start or reusing some items from your existing Are you going to make cosmetic changes with the addition of new soft furnishings and rugs or hard changes with wallpaper, lighting and flooring?

The next step is putting all your findings from above together.

Do you have a look / theme in mind?

Minimal – no clutter, bare basics, texture and plain colours, use softer colours.

Contemporary – use long flowing fabrics, multiple types.

English Country – frills, valances, layers of window treatments, lots or groupings of collectables, well used furniture.

French Country – rubbed gold, filigree, decorative framed photos.

Next step to your romantic bedroom

Take your look/theme and research it, decide what will be the crucial items that identify that look. These will be the places to start and focus. Can you use any of your existing items with that look; can you alter them to conform to the look? For example – change a bed head/end or change the knobs of a chest of drawers, alter a lampshade.

Basically decoration is a process of collection and elimination – get all your ideas together, select what you like and get rid of the rest.

So take your bedroom and move everything out that hasn’t won the right to stay, and this provides the bones for your decorating project.

We now need to find a focal point, or major feature for the room, something that will truly draw your attention every time you enter the room. This could be a painting, a chair, your bedcovering, the window dressings or a chandelier (if you have the space).

From that we can start to select other finishes/products to use that will compliment it. Think of yourself as a painter you are slowly layering the room like a painter layers his oil on the canvas.

You have now dressed the bones of the room and its time to add the “jewelery” or the items that will set off your scheme.

Cushions, pictures, lamps, photographs, candleholders, personal items/memorabilia, lingerie (just dropped that one in there), tiebacks, tassels, holdbacks, crystals, flowers, vases, mirrors, oil burner, incense, books, throws.

How to create a romantic bedroom

The focal point is the bed here.

To conclude, design and decoration is an important part of our life, it can change mood and enhance the way we look at life. It is essential that you don’t try to recreate something you see in a magazine – use it as a starting point and incorporate your personal bits and pieces into you scheme. You want to make sure you are living in your own home, not a hotel – void of personal identity.

Is your love life starting to slow down? Do you find that every time you walk into your bedroom you just watch TV and fall asleep?

Well listen up. We are going to tell you how to create a romantic atmosphere in the bedroom so that it always feels like your slice of paradise.

The first thing that you must do is get rid of the Television. No ifs, ands or buts about it. The TV does not belong in the bedroom. It never has and it never will. The TV is the ultimate distraction for what really counts and that is the person sleeping next to you.

It takes your attention away from the moment and gives you an excuse to not interact with them. How often have we walked into a bedroom to see someone passed out with the TV still playing last nights Modern Family? Nothing kills the mood like that.

Get the TV out of there. Not only will you need to find more outlets for things to do in the bedroom, but it always will remove unwanted sounds and distractions. No longer will you have loud explosions or clichéd jokes to fall asleep to. You now have an opportunity to talk to the person sleeping next to you. Fill them in on what happened in your day. Reestablish that bond that made you fall in love.

Getting rid of the tv gives you a chance to connect without any distractions. The bedroom is the one place that the two of you share. Why muck it up by letting a noise box get in between you. Your bedroom intimate place and you should keep it that way by removing the TV and focusing on each other.

Next, try and get rid of as much metal as possible . Metal is cold and unforgiving. Try and replace any metal you have with nice warm wood. Wood has a very romantic and old feel to it. It is smooth and natural. Their are different colors, grains, and textures to wood so you can find one to match your personality.

The nightstands are a great place to start to add wood. You can also mix in granite as the table top if you can to add some different color elements, but we want to try and make this room as romantic as possible.

We all have the great vision of wooden four post beds. While, we can’t all have that in our houses, we can try and add as many accented touches as we can. If you want, you can remove the carpet in the room to add a wood floor. A deep brown stain just oozes sensuality. This mix up will be sure to spice things up in this romantic spot.

Since we took out the TV in our bedroom, we don’t want to always live in total silence, make sure you add a music player of some kind to the bedroom. There is nothing like having music going that can help set a proper romantic mood. Everyone is different, but there is certain serenity to music that can really help you keep the romance going. Find tunes that you and your spouse can enjoy every time you walk into the bedroom.

The last one is to eliminate blackout curtains. I know that sounds crazy as we all love catching those extra zzzz’s on the weekends, but in reality that will just make us lazy and forget to wake up. It gives your room some freedom and will keep you from just thinking of this place as just a sleeping room, but also a activity room.

What makes eliminating blackout curtains so romantic is on those cloudless nights when the moonlight illuminates your bedroom. Have you ever walked into a naturally moonlit bedroom? Let me just say it is the number one aphrodisiac and can do so much to add that extra spice to the bedroom. It is natural mood lighting and it also goes with all the other changes we have made.

Doing all of these will help ensure that every time you go into your bedroom will make for a place that is yours and your partners. It should be your hidden getaway that only you two have access to and you should make it as romantic as possible. We are all searching for that slice of paradise and now you can have your own!

  • How to create a romantic bedroom

Have you and your partner just moved in together? Congratulations – that’s a huge step! One of the most challenging parts can be bringing all your stuff together to create a cohesive, yet inexpensive luxury home.

While you’ll want your entire home to reflect your relationship, your bedroom may be the most important part. Having a romantic master bedroom can help bring you and your partner together for some unforgettable nights.

But, you won’t want to rely on Valentine’s Day-esq silk sheets and rose petals when designing your room. Instead, create a room that screams romance 365 days of the year.

Do you want to know what we’re talking about? Keep reading to learn how to create a romantic master bedroom.

Hang String Lights

Harsh, bright lights can begin to detract from the intimate feel you want for your bedroom. While it’s perfectly fine to have bright ceiling lights or lamps, you’ll want some softer lights to use when you want to turn on the romance.

This is where string lights come into play. The lights are small and a lot softer than traditional lamps. Plus, they can be hung around your bed or entangled in a sheer canopy for an encompassing feel.

We recommend opting for white lights and white strings, as adding colors may start to take away from the romance.

Put Out Some Candles

Candles are another soft lighting solution that can create a romantic atmosphere. But not every candle is romantic.

You’ll want to choose candles that go with your romantic bedroom design. Teacup candles can look great in vintage-inspired rooms while lace candles can find a home in almost any bedroom design.

You’ll also want to opt for a romantic scent, such as white gardenia, amber, or vanilla blossom.

Make a DIY Love Board

Some of the best romantic designs for your master bedroom can be interactive.

A DIY love board gives you and your partner a chance to leave cute messages for each other throughout the day – you could thank them for something special they did or remind them why you love them.

It’s simple to make, too! Start with a picture frame and add in a simple background, like a piece of scrapbook paper. Write “I love you because…” on the scrapbook paper and cut it to fit into the frame. Grab some dry erase markers and keep them by the frame for easy use. Voila – you’re all done!

Upgrade Your Furniture

Your furniture is one of the most important elements of your new bedroom. You’ll want to choose the right bed frame, dressers, and bedside tables to complete your look.

While simple furniture can look amazing, modern Italian bedroom furniture can really take this up a notch. The designs are typically contemporary, stylish, and clean-cut giving you the flexibility to design the rest of your bedroom how you want.

Get a Sheepskin Throw

While comfortable sheets and comforters are a big part of any romantic bedroom design, you shouldn’t overlook the impact blankets and throws can have on a room.

A sheepskin throw can do two amazing things to make your bedroom more romantic. First, the soft texture can help awaken your senses up and get you in the mood for a romantic night with your partner. Secondly, it helps to soften the room visually which can make it appear more romantic and inviting.

If you don’t want to use real furs, don’t worry! There are some amazing high-quality faux sheepskin throws that are just as soft as the real thing.

Use Soft Colors

But don’t just rely on that sheepskin throw to soften the room. When choosing furniture, paint colors, and decor, think soft. Bright colors and sharp contrasts might be fun, but it won’t help to create a romantic master bedroom.

Instead, you should choose light colors to form the base of your bedroom. White, cream, light pink, and soft gray are all great colors to start with. Now, you can add some different colors and style elements into the mix with your d?cor, throw pillows and jewelry storage, but you should still keep a small color palette.

Go for a Romantic Headboard

A headboard can more important to a romantic bedroom design than you think. It’s so much more than a piece of wood – it helps to bring the entire room together, and it makes the bed look more inviting (which is vital in any romantic master bedroom).

There are several options to choose from, but velvet or tufted headboards are the most romantic. Be sure to keep your headboard in a soft color, but feel free to play with the overall shape of it. Instead of opting for just a sharp, square headboard, opt for a whimsical or curvy headboard. It’ll make the room look warmer and more inviting.

Tell a Story

Don’t forget to make your master bedroom reflect you and your partner as a couple. There’s nothing more romantic than looking around your room and being reminded of why you love each other and the relationship you have together.

You can hang some of your favorite pictures of you together, put out the teddy bear he bought you for your first Valentine’s Day, or have your anniversary date stitched into a throw pillow.

How to Create a Romantic Master Bedroom

If you’re trying to create a space where you and your partner can feel intimate together, the master bedroom is a great place to start. You’ll want to make sure this room is inviting, romantic, and speaks volumes to who you are as a couple.

A Room With a Romantic Scent

Love is in the air. Use your sense of smell and complete your mood for a lovely evening with your partner inside a perfect bedroom for romance.

According to Dr. Alan Hirsch, director of the Smell and Taste Research Foundation, first impressions to a large degree comes from our sense of smell. So instead of talking about love at first sight, we should say ‘love at first sniff.’

Set up your romantic night with ideal fragrances like lavender, ylang-ylang, and orange. You can buy scented candles in your local store or online with a lavender scent, which is best to release muscle tension. Ylang-ylang scent is best for its aphrodisiac effects. Lying in a comfortable bed that you both got from some reputable sites like Beds Online, is not enough to end the day. Ask your partner about his day at work, or perhaps what food he wants you to cook for the next morning.

Initiate a physical intimacy with your partner by showing your affection with sweet cuddles, caresses, and kisses. Open up and express your love and appreciation through telling stories, confessions, and playful humor.

Do not just let your bedroom fall silent after your [email protected] activity. Pillow talk causes the brain to release hormones called oxytocin, also known as the ‘cuddle hormone’ which helps reduce stress, blood pressure, and cortisol levels.

According to Dr. Arun Ghosh, a GP specializing in [email protected] health at the Spire Liverpool Hospital, these hormones can lower defenses and make us trust people more. So make time for pillow talk and just let trust and love grow.

No Kids Allowed

You and your partner deserve some privacy even after having kids. If they are still babies, then it is needed that you keep them near you. However, it will be different when your children are already grown-ups or in their teenage years.

Gently but firmly, tell them to go to their bedrooms when they want to stay in yours. Manage to transition them to their rooms so that you can also enjoy a private moment with your husband or wife. It is especially hard to be romantic with your partner when you have your kids in your bedroom.

Keep Those Romantic Times

If you are having a hard time choosing the right decorations for your bedroom and you do not know if your partner will like it, you can use the photos of your sweet moments together.

Pick the pictures where you are happily in love with each other and place them in photo frames. Place them on your bedside table or beside the lamp so that your husband or wife can see it before going to bed.

You can also find some space on the wall where you can hang or attach your photos and frames.

Bedrooms are the epicenter of any given home. However, if you are a couple, this room becomes the center stage of your love life as well. Masking it to perfection is what you need to rekindle & keep the romantic tension alive, between you and your better half.

Now, this brings us to a question, are you a couple deeply in love and looking for a romantic bedroom makeover? If yes, congratulations! You’ve hit the right spot.

Here are some exciting tips to help you with romantic bedroom renovation.

a. Keep the lighting warm and bright.

A dull and poorly lit room can instantly kill your mood. Incorporating balanced lighting sources can change the room’s aura in no time. Use two-color light in your bedroom to bring the best out of it. Most interior designers swear by this tip; just by doing this minimal change, you can achieve a perfectly lit space.

While you are working with the lights, ensure that you maintain a perfect balance between white and yellow light. White light brings brightness, whereas yellow light makes the dose warm and soothing. Further, you can add a lightbulb in your bedroom for bedtime to keep the illumination to a minimum and clear visibility.

b. Incorporate natural elements

What’s better than adding houseplants or indoor plants to keep the ambiance soothing and relaxing? This is the easiest and cheapest way to transform your intimate space. Here are some plant ideas to choose the right one for your bedroom space.

  • Lavender- Lavender plant is not only beautiful to look at but has some magical health benefits. It helps reduce high blood pressure and improves heart rate. Place a lavender plant next to your bed and inhale its sweet soothing aroma during bedtime.
  • Peace Lily- Peace Lily is widely famous for its gracious white beauty and low maintenance. It is an ideal bedroom plant because it helps to lower microbe count in the air.
  • Aloe vera- This spiky green plant is a one-stop medication for many serious ailments. Burned skin? Apply a dab of freshly squeezed aloe vera pulp. This plant is a versatile beauty crop and is used in various beauty products.
  • Valerian- The sweet aroma of valerian can help curb insomnia for a more extended period. According to a study, the scent of valerian induces sleep hormones. Keep it near your bed, for relaxing nights and fresh mornings.

c. Make a section for photo frames.

Photographs are a big part of our life. We tend to keep memories of every milestone we achieved. And what better than having a space to showcase your recalls? Make a space that includes pictures of both of you, your family, and your friends.

There are many digital photo frame ideas to make the space romantic; here are some unique DIY ideas to impress your better half with creativity.

  • Take a basic black photo frame (you can get it in any stationery store). Apply glue all over the edge and sprinkle red sparkle; let it dry. Make a few red hearts and stick them to make a pattern. A trendy valentine’s special photo frame is ready in just four steps.
  • Old books make intriguing photo frames that too in little to no money. This is a great way to recycle books and also make them more memorable. Take a photograph and draw its sides on the book, cut the space and stick the photograph. The final step requires you to decorate the hemline with strings and sparkles, and make attractive frames in no time.

d. Go with a specific theme.

A personalized theme can make your place look like a professionally transformed place. If you and your partner share the same decor taste, choose that as your bedroom theme. The bedroom theme can vary as per your choices; if you are a passionate person, romantic bedroom decor will be your preferred niche.

e. A ‘NOTE’ corner

This can be the most special add-on to your existing bedroom decor. A note corner can be the part where you both write down important and sweet notes for each other while leaving the house. This simple decor idea can not only improve your room’s outlook but also spices up your relationship.

You need to be creative while designing this space. Think of things that you and your partner adore and implement those in this DIY. Choose a corner and hit the wall with your creative instincts.

  • A heart-shaped feather note space is an easy yet romantic decor style. Take a cardboard and carve it in a heart shape. Stick a thick layer of foam on the cardboard and cover it with colorful paper. Take colorful feathers and start sticking them onto the edges. Fix it in the wall with the help of a hook.

f.Add romantic books to the bedroom shelf.

For book lovers, this idea can hold a brownie point. If your partner loves reading romantic fiction and novels, adding these can elevate their dopamine level and make your place a romantic setting without much effort.

Go for a writer of your choice and stack the racks with some of the best literary pieces. Using a vintage wooden book rack will help in styling the place; check out Amazon for designer book racks.

g.Use assorted and aromatic candles.

Home is the place where you relax and revitalize yourself for upcoming life events. Try your hands on aromatic candles to create a romantic and soothing ambiance. According to some studies, a good fragrance helps to lift your mood and controls mood swings. So, incorporating a trendy candle stand-style can help you amp your bedroom decor with the magic of assorted aromas.

You can make a list of all your favorite aromas and get them in the candle form from any online or offline store. These candles come in beautiful shapes and colors as well; choose the one that goes the best with your existing bedroom decor.

Conclusion

As most memorable memories include bedroom space, renovating it as per your taste and standard is essential for happy rememberings. Bedroom makeovers are not as complicated as they sound; with a dash of creativity and pinch of dedication, you can completely change your room’s outlook.

On the other hand, if you are moving to a new place and need art pieces for home decor, make sure to look for canvas art online– a plethora of options under one roof.

A fundamental fact for any freelance interior designer in Dubai to bear in mind when working on a bedroom design is that the bedroom is the last place you encounter before falling asleep and the first on your sight when waking up to face a new day. So the bedroom should ideally provide a relaxing mood, especially in the evening after suffering a long day’s struggle, running up and down chasing targets and income in a bid to make ends meet. Also, being the first sight to behold in the morning when the alarm rings, your bedroom should inspire you to face the day ahead. The set up should radiate new energy, serene comfort, and quiet joy that will, in turn, lift your spirits, necessitating the push to face any obstacle that lies ahead.

The bedroom is a space for two and is associated with tenderness and an inviting feel that quickly translates into intimacy. Canopy bed, plush throws, evocative artwork are but a few suggestions to consider when thinking of triggering romance in your bedroom. However, essential to note is that there is no ideal or perfect universal bedroom design because different people have diverse preferences. The most crucial point is to design and assemble a set up that brings a feeling of relaxation, intimacy, and romance. When juggling with design to inspire the mood and set the tone, the key lies in ambiance. The entire décor in the room should reveal the atmosphere.

How To Create A Romantic and Relaxing Bedroom

There are several factors to consider when creating a pleasant atmosphere for romance and relaxation in the bedroom. Below are some key things to consider.

1. Lighting

Light plays a vital role in the bedroom set up. The lighting should be soft, creating a smooth, relaxed ambiance. You can acquire this by creating a canopy through twisting string lights paired with soft sheer fabric, across and around your bed, and hang the lights behind the sheer fabric. You can use a variety of colors or just bright fairy lights.

2. The windows

The windows should not be covered by the traditional heavy material that may block natural romantic night skylight or morning sun. There are several modern curtain styles available that are fashionable and serve the purpose. Where possible, the windows should allow a clear gaze at the sky for the stars at night, rising and setting of the sun, which are all romantic sights to encounter.

3. Candles

Candles are a traditional way of lighting that sets the mood. They create a uniquely soft, curling glow that helps create an atmosphere for intimacy. There are various types available today. Some have even gone the extra mile and added different scents to suite preferences. However, traditional flame candles are a fire risk. So it is ideal to consider some rechargeable or battery operated options available in the market today. The chandelier should have a romantic touch in its design to blend well with the décor and help enforce the theme.

4. Bedside lamps and chandeliers

Bedside lamps, sparkling chandeliers, and side lamps are just some of the varieties of lighting options available. In all these, the underlying factor is to keep the room semi-dark hence the term soft lighting. It is so, to achieve the feel of relaxation and set the mood for romance and intimacy. When choosing a switch, it is good to consider dimmer switches, which will enable you to control the feelings you are striving to set. To guide you through all these, expert opinion can be offered by a freelance interior designer in Dubai.

5. Cover the room with a fragrance

Give the room a romantic smell by using pleasant scents. There are several ways to make a room smell fresh . You start by lighting scented candles or merely spraying the room with perfume or air freshener. Fresh flowers will also serve this purpose apart from being appealing to the eye and adding a touch of romance on the décor.

6. Soft beddings

The bed is the centerpiece of the bedroom. The linens should be smooth and cushy, giving the room a cozy look. The mattress should be covered with lots of soft pillows and comforters, rendering it more comfortable. Light-colored sheets and fabrics are the ideal choices.

Conclusion

When creating a romantic and relaxing bedroom, it is good to consider the ambiance. It is advisable to seek expert opinion of a freelance interior designer in Dubai , to help guide you through. However, there is no specific set out design to be adopted by all. It, therefore, means that preference and creativity will come into play. Most of all, it is advisable to factor in comfortability as this will primarily help set the space for a relaxed mood.
